Meet Raj, originally from the UK, moved to Dubai over 10 years ago, met the man of her dreams, rented out a villa and was shocked at the extortionate prices of soft furnishings. She was faced with a dilemma, either sell her husband and daughter in order to furnish her home, or start hunting down the distributors rather than go to the glitzy stores on the Sheikh Zayed Road.

The Hunt Begins.....

Strapping her 1 year old daughter to her back, she went on a mission to scour the Middle East for soft furnishings. With her 1 year old daughter assuming the role of head buyer, they managed to procure beautiful stock, not only for their home, but for some close friends and family.

The Story Continues.....

Raj found herself pregnant with her second child. Leaving work, she found herself hosting friends and family at home rather than going out. Raj received many compliments on her rugs.

The Rug Dealer is born.....

That’s when it came to her, Raj decided to set up her own family run business (her and her two children aged 1 and minus 6 months old). If everyone liked the rugs then it was time for the Rug Dealer to bring to the UAE her own, locally sourced rugs at the most competitive prices.
